These numbers reflect online user behaviour on Google. They also speak volumes for the power of search engine optimisation (SEO). If you haven’t considered SEO for your website, perhaps these stats will convice you.

• 41% of people click on the first ranked link.
• 11% click on the second ranked link.
• 72% of people only look on the first page
• Fewer than 8% of people go beyond the second page of Google.
• Natural search results were viewed 98% more often than Pay Per Click advertisements.

Basically, if you don’t appear on the first two pages of Google, or any other search engine, the likelihood is that you won’t be found at all! Certainly food for thought!
