Address tag and Web Design

Posted by mariam.shariff on May 1st, 2009

Recently we had an interesting blog on Alt tags and its importance to both website design and optimising websites. In addition I’d like to talk about another important tag, ok may be not all that important, but a much overlooked tag called the address tag.

The address tag, as the name suggests, tells search engines the physical address of the website, but unlike the other meta tags this tag is actually displayed on the webpage and any text within it is displayed in italics. It helps add to the emphasis of the local address of your company, hence increasing its chances of getting listed under the local listings of the  search engines.

There are lots of other interesting facts that can be utilised to emphasis your website with the local listings of the various search engines, especially Google. So to get more info on what other clever tricks of the trade our web designers employ while building a website, why not give us a call at Studio 2 Online on 0845 6187342 and we’ll be happy to help.

We provide quality web design services in the regions of Birmingham, Leicester, Wolverhampton and other areas of the Midlands!
